A Guide to Explore Nanotechnology through Homoeopathic Dosage formulations In the Treatment of Human,Plant and Animal Diseases

INTRODUCTION

The guide is the result of war against COVID 19. During the current pandemic, at ARH we treated quite a few cases. At particular point in time when cases with co-morbid conditions started coming the question was — can we take a risk of treating it asking a patient to stop other drugs? Few of them agreed. We realized that with current knowledge of disease process, perspective of disease through cell biology and adherence to principles of Homoeopathy we can treat co- morbid conditions along with COVID 19. Over a period of time patients with number of chronic conditions started visiting both the centres, main centre at Airoli (Navi Mumbai) and Kotapur (Dist – Ratnagiri) at village level.

In one of the previous meetings Prof. B.J. Rao (Senior Professor – Biology, IISER, Tirupati) suggested our mission as –

Exploring use of Nanotechnology through Homoeopathic dosage formulations for addressing Human, Plant and Animal diseases.

The work of Prof. Jayesh Bellare (Professor, Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai), prof, Ramesh Bhonde (Director (Research) – Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Pune), Dr. Savita Datar (Head Department of Zoology, S.P.College, Pune), Prof. Sadhana Sathaye (Associate Professor in Pharmacy, Dept. of Pharm. Sci. and Tech., Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai.) were all supportive to our efforts. Dr. V. R. Joshi (Director of Research, Consultant Physician & Rheumatologist, P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai), Dr. Ashok Vaidya (Research Director, Kasturba Health Society- Medical Research Centre, Mumbai) , Dr. Urmila Thatte  (Professor and Head at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai.), Late Dr Avinash Bhisey (Former Director, Cancer Research Institute TMC-ACTREC, Mumbai) and number of other physicians and scientists have provided impetus to our work.

The subject matter is the result of regular discussions we have at ARH for number of years. We have tried to compile it in the form of Guide. There will be shortcomings and we invite constructive criticism from experts.

For whom it is?

The Guide is for all physicians and biomedical scientists to investigate this challenging field of Nanotechnology through Homoeopathic dosage formulations. We look forward to institutional collaboration for clinical and basic research. For individual physicians we are planning to have short term courses in Clinical Homoeopathy.

The first part deals with management of Human Health and disease. Plant and Animal diseases will be the subject matter of second and third part. We hope to have preliminary observational study in these areas by next year.
